Membership
Would you like a start a new hobby or pastime, then why not consider becoming a member of the Rotherham &
District Model Engineers Society (RDMES).
Membership includes full use and access to all workshop equipment located on the RDMES site at Rosehill (Victoria) Park, Rawmarsh, together with full use of both the raised track and the ground level track for running their own locomotives. The site is open every Sunday and Wednesday from 12.00 to approximately 5 pm. For a map showing the location of the site click here. Authority to use these facilities is on the understanding that the member has demonstrated that he or she is competent to use such facilities. Assistance and expertise is available to all members, in giving guidance towards building any model, including steam locomotives. Members can also help in running the miniature railway both in Rosehill Park and also at outside events if they so desire. This includes acting as a driver, for which full training would be given. Each member will receive a quarterly newsletter by email or post, as well as having access to the newsletter on this web site. Membership of the Society entitles all members to boiler testing facilities free of charge, in accordance with the guide lines set out by the Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies. Membership Subscriptions. Subscriptions run from the 1st April to the 31st March. Family e.g. Husband, Wife and Children ( up to 16 years ) ........ £????
